Our Bunkhouse

Our bunkhouse is a community run project. We decided to convert our former WI building into a bunkhouse in order to benefit the village and to raise funds to keep both the Bunkhouse building and the Town Hall in good repair.

A great place to stay if you want to visit Hadrian’s wall and the surrounding area. Also situated right on the Hadrian’s cycleway.

The bunkhouse is run along with the Town hall by a small committee of volunteers. We feel the bunkhouse will be a great asset to the village and will bring in business for local pubs and the village shop. We have Wi-Fi access and a secure shed to put your bike – you must have a bike lock too.

We will not be held responsible for any thefts on the property. Please do not leave any valuables in any of the rooms.

Best bunk house we’ve ever stayed in!

The bunkhouse was really lovely. Extremely clean and functional. Location was beautiful and the pub next door was a delight.

The bunkhouse was extremely clean and excellent value. It’s in a delightful setting with picturesque views. The bunkhouse is located next door to a pub which was friendly and served really nice local beers and food. There was a small filling station down the road and Hadrian’s Wall was a couple of miles away so we enjoyed exploring. This place is truly a hidden gem!

Bunk Room One:

Bunkroom 1 is on the ground floor, next to the kitchen facilities. You also have use of the shower room with a walk in shower. In the hall is a separate sink area. The room has 4 bunkbeds sleeping 8. It has an original fire place in, which is listed.
